The type of food and places you may not find alone! Visit local streets and see, taste and shop for cheese, cured meat, fruits, sweets and spices in the markets full of colour, scents and noise. Sample olives, oil and honey from a farmer and local barrel wine made on the tavernas premises. On tours starting at 3.00pm or later, the fish and meat market are mainly closed so we go quickly to see as much as possible. On Sundays the markets ARE SHUT so on this tour we will visit a taverna and eat traditional Athenian food and go to a spice shop and a honey and olive oil producer to taste these amazing products! We will enjoy a fantastic deli with a cured meat and cheese tasting and also sample Greek coffee and yogurt from a local producer. Many tastings offered including sit down meals of meat and fish on all our tours, as you learn about Greek culture from people who live it daily. You will have many friends in Athens at the end of this experience! Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available however, vegan options not available on Sundays. OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT SURFING EXPERIENCE, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. We'll get suited up in the wetsuits I provide, grab the surfboards and head down to the sand. This experience is for Small Groups (MAXIMUM 8 PARTICIPANTS per COACH) from total beginners surfers. For the first 15 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, then the rest of the classe with an instructor in the ocean. Other things to note A container to change clothes (NOT IN THE STREET) and safe space to store your belongings (NOT IN A CAR). At the end of the lesson you have access to an outdoor shower. In this experience, you will visit the unparalleled DOURO VALLEY, the first-denominated wine region in the world and a world heritage site by UNESCO. The day starts at our meeting point and then we will be heading to the Valley. For the drive we will do a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first driving through the N323 with all the astonishing viewpoints of the valley and where we have the first stop, a small winery from a local producer to try his regular wines (reds and whites from the region) and olive oil. The second stop is at Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern with great options for Vegans and Vegetarians. Still in Pinhão, we have a 1-hour mini-cruise in a typical Rabelo boat along the astonishing Douro River with the Valley as a background view (the boat cruise is shared with other groups). The journey will continue through the National Road 222, one of the most iconic roads in Portugal, winner of the "World's Best Driving Road Award", which will take us to the second winery for more tasting, parings and story tales from the wineries owners. After that, we will return to Porto and arrive to Porto at around 6:00 PM.
