Highly recommend this beautiful treetop haven - such a treat for nature lovers and plant/animal enthusiasts! One of our best Airbnb experiences ever. Matty is a warm and generous host who suggested a great snorkel trip & local restaurants - he also guided us on a hike of his amazing property which includes horses, birds, so many butterflies, and an impressive array of native trees and flowers. A 4WD vehicle is a must. Nearby beaches accommodate all levels of surfers.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at la Moncheria. The house is simple but very cosy and there is everything you need. The little fenced garden is a beautiful spot to relax after the day's adventures. We travelled 4 adults and 2 dogs. The 2 separate rooms allowed for plenty of privacy when needed. Everybody was happy. La Moncheria is very well located, right next to the very cool Pizzeria Yammin'. It it a short walk to get to the waves and to the village. We didn't meet Roberta in person but she gave clear instructions for check-in and check-out and even organised a Coiba tour for our family members who visited from New Zealand. We would definitely like to stay there again when we get back to Santa Catalina.

Nice location, very relaxing. Paved road, watch for sign on right just before the driveway.

You do need to drive across a creek, just go slow and don’t stop and you should be fine. Once you get there you will have an amazing surf beach that is super easy to access day or night, just be mindful of the tide and the occasional falling coconut. The hotel staff really make sure you have everything you need for your stay, from surfboard rentals to Coiba tours to daily housekeeping. There’s even a restaurant on the property with really good food, just don’t wait until you are super hungry to go. The wifi is better in the restaurant and the cell service (Tigo) was ok, not fast, but workable if you’re a digital nomad. Occasional power and water outages lasting 3 to 12 hours so keep your electronics charged and have an extra bottle of water ready for the toilet/showering or washing hands.

We had an absolutely magical stay at this incredible Airbnb! Nestled in the jungle with parrots and monkeys, it was only a short walk to a secluded beach. The sound of the waves from the deck was so peaceful and added to the charm of the place. We loved taking sunset walks on the beach, searching for shells, and simply enjoying the breathtaking views. The pool was a huge hit with our kids. The Airbnb itself was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Michael and Lynn were fantastic hosts—super responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond, even letting us have a late check-out so we could enjoy one last surf session before heading back to Panama City. The location was perfect, just a 15-minute drive to Playa Morrillo for daily surfing and another 15 minutes to the charming town of Torio. We loved this place and can’t wait to visit again one day soon. Highly recommend!

Yolanda ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin. Wir hatten tolle Gespräche. Die Casita hat uns sehr gut gefallen, liegt unweit vom Menschen leeren Strand entfernt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Spędziliśmy tam przemiłe święta. Okolica bardzo ładna, na wzgórzu, spokojnie i cicho. Mili gospodarze, raz nawet podzielili się rybą z połowu. W okolicy znakomite centra nurkowe.

We had the best vacation ever. From the pristine, big, & beautiful home to the quiet peacefulness of its location on a winding gravel road, we have never stayed at a nicer Airbnb location. While the house, its huge pool, & its beautiful stretch of beach were the attention-getters, Maria was the one who worked quietly behind the scenes to make us fall in love with this place. Friendly & genuine, she ceaselessly came through for us every time we needed advice or assistance. Jonathan (pool caretaker) was lovely and helpful, too. Both spoke English very well. The house is very well appointed with many thoughtful touches & beautiful locally-made art, such as a driftwood lamp & paintings. It was stocked with enough paper products & soaps to easily get us through the first week but as advised, we stocked up in David. Las Lajas is a pretty little town known for its beautiful beach, cattle, & vaqueros. It is about 1-2 hrs from David, Boca Chica, and Boquete. We found a slice of heaven here!
