Ferienunterkünfte in Udawalawe Reservoir

Such a special and memorable place. I will remember the sounds of the jungle at night most of all! We did the river excursions, floating breakfast and elephant safari all of which were amazing. Delicious food too!

Wir waren 2 Nächte dort um den Udawalawe Nationalpark zu besuchen. Der Gastgeber hat uns im Vorraus bereits die Preise für die Safari mitgeteilt und uns über den Taxiservice informiert. Das hat vieles für uns erleichtert. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit freundlichem Personal und schöner Umgebung.

Nos ha encantado estar en la casa de Nindagam! La ubicación es increíble al lado del río y la ducha al aire libre es una experiencia fantástica. La comida hecha por su madre es toda deliciosa.

Wir waren für eine Nacht dort, um am nächsten Tag eine Safari zu machen. Diese wurde von den Gastgebern für uns organisiert und hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Sanduns Frau war sehr freundlich, hat uns ein bisschen die Umgebung gezeigt und spricht gutes Englisch. Am Abend hat sie uns ein super leckeres Curry gekocht. Das Zimmer ist auch sehr schön und man hat ein bequemes Bett zum schlafen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

We had the best time in Ajith's amazing treehouse, which is built in and around a giant Mango tree. The treehouse itself is marvel and absolutely beautifully crafted. It feels spacious, yet cosy inside and we wanted for nothing. We loved spending time out on the deck watching beautiful birds and playful squirrels jumping through the trees and feasting on fruit that Ajith leaves for them. The property as a whole is beautiful and full of wonderful fruit and spice trees. Ajith is also a talented and passionate gardener and we had several conversations about about our shared love of gardening and botany. Ajith was a kind and friendly host, as was another gentleman who was always present to provide us with anything we needed or provide us with tips and advice for activities. They were so considerate, bringing mosquito coils or tea up into the treehouse for us. Also, the food we had for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, the best we have had in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We fell in love.

Wow! Wir können die Unterkunft nur herzlich empfehlen! Die Zimmer liegen sehr ruhig neben einem kleinen Flussarm. Auf der Veranda sitzend, kann man dem Vogelgesang lauschen und das satte Grün genießen! Wir haben auch Affen und Echsen gesehen! Das Essen war absolut fantastisch! Es gab viele kleine Gerichte und jedes einzelne war ein geschmackliches Erlebnis! Wir waren begeistert! Natürlich war auch die Safari gemeinsam mit Sanath ein absolutes Highlight. Wir waren nachmittags im Nationalpark und haben uns teils komplett alleine im Park gefühlt oder waren der einzige Jeep bei den Elefanten. Wir haben neben vielen Elefanten auch Affen und Krokodile und Vögel gesehen.Sanath hat super Augen und fährt kleinere Wege. Wir hatten einfach einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt!! Sanath und seine Familie sind sehr bemüht und hilfsbereit! Danke für die schöne Zeit!

We stayed in Sujees house for three days. The most beautiful thing is the jungles around. The house is situated in the heart of the forest with the little river just 10 meters away. You can bathe in the river when it is hot outside and have a 1-2 hours walk along it's bank through the jungles. Sujee is very hospital and friendly

We had an excellent stay in Chinthaka’s place and we would highly recommend. The location was great, very close to the Baby Elephant orphanage and the Safari which were the two main attractions for us. The place was extremely comfortable and very clean. Chinthaka and his family were extremely accommodating and organised our safari and our taxi to Ella. They cooked us delicious breakfasts and dinners in the evening. A lovely place to stay!

We had a great stay here whilst doing a safari tour. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Hasith was extremely accommodating with food and breakfast considerations. Even making us a fruit platter to take out on our safari with a different tour operator. Lounging on the netting was a great spot to sit for an evening read whilst listening to the wildlife. The bathroom was also great, with the waterfall shower in the open top space giving it a good atmosphere. Would recommend staying here for sure
