We had a great stay. The hot tub was lovely and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We would definitely book again.

Overall great weekend with family - us, 4 children, wives, partner and 5 grandchildren. Games room was a great success with teenagers and men, probably a bit noisy for the neighbours 😂. Well equipped kitchen but didn’t find instructions for hob and oven until tidying up Sunday night. We’d worked it out between us in the meantime. Could do with a few tips in house manual. Lake and canoe a big hit. Hot tub took over 4 hours to get up to temperature - why wood burning when there is electricity? Beds comfy and all rooms very spacious. Lounge/sunroom fabulous space. We would return if Neil would have us.

Chris's place is a beautiful spacious yet cosy home, decorated with love, care and attention to detail. My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful short relaxing break together, the hot tub was glorious in the cool spring weather. I highly recommend this space for families and friends. I couldn't be happier with the location, space, ease of check in, communication and relaxing scenery.

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth, including a delicious home-baked cake that made us feel instantly at home. The cottage itself is stunning, blending cozy charm with lovely decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The views are absolutely breathtaking—perfect for unwinding and taking in the scenery. The hot tub was an added luxury, allowing us to relax under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a personal touch.

Everything was excellent. Janice got in contact immediately after we had booked and the cottage certainly lived up to expectation. Everything was very clean and comfortable and Janice went above and beyond. The hamper not only provided the basics but lots of treats too, which we enjoyed very much. You couldn't want for more in terms of amenities. The hot tub was so relaxing. The surrounding area was beautiful and so quiet. Carsington Water is only a short walk or drive away and is a lovely place for walks. The Miners Arms pub in the village does delicious meals. All in all we had a fabulous weekend and would highly recommend The Old Workshop. Janice is an excellent host.

Where do I begin... Location: Secluded but very easy to find. Surrounded by sunrise and sunset views. Hot tub views of the countryside with no obstructions is a major plus. Close proximitely to a wide range of sights and attractions from Lud's Church, Thor's Cave, Dovedale, Matlock, Bakewell. Property: Beyond expectations. Grander and more pristine than shown in the photos. The host ensured the house stayed warm during the colder months, so it was also amazing waking up to heated flooring throughout the home. Rooms have air conditioning too if you're visiting in the summer. Highly spacious and well-equipped with everything that you need. Everything was clean and tidy - the biggest testament to the house's cleanliness was being able to walk around the (heated) tiled floors with white socks and not even a mark showed. Host: Highly responsive with great recommendations. Professional and will ensure your stay is the best it can be. Final thoughts: We're definitely coming back!

This lodge was beautiful, the pictures look gorgeous but as you walk in it smells clean and instantly feels cosy! The size of the cabin is perfect for a cosy getaway, the space is definitely made the best use of and I loved all the little fine details from the lovely decor and pretty fairly lights placed all around the rooms to the facilities provided! You want for nothing in this lovely little place. The furniture is very comfy and it’s finished to a very high spec. The location is lovely and private, we enjoyed a nice evening in the hot tub and the veranda is all very secure, our Sprocker loved poking her nose through the railings admiring the little bunnies hopping in and out of the woodland. We enjoyed a lovely meal out at The Ship Inn which is approx 10 min drive followed by a takeaway from a local Balti! There’s all the information you need provided in the lodge, plenty of leaflets and menus to select from. The surroundings are beautiful and this place far exceeded expectations

Nestled in such a wonderfully quiet valley, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by pure tranquillity. You greeted us with the warmest of welcomes, complete with thoughtful gifts that made us feel instantly at home. Your advice on the local area was spot-on and helped us make the most of our time. The cabin itself was superb, every detail carefully considered to create the perfect space to relax and unwind. Whether we were toasting marshmallows by the cozy log burner or soaking in the hot tub with a glass of fizz, every moment was pure bliss. It truly was the ideal retreat for leaving the world behind and recharging in comfort and style. Highly recommended!

A gorgeous stay with lots of added little extras which were lovely. Clean accommodation and the outdoor area was perfect.

Lovely welcoming lodge, excellent for anyone to visit in a medium sized group. The amenities were excellent and we particularly enjoyed the homemade brownies + Prosecco! Thank you for having us Michele and I would highly recommend the lodge to anyone looking to stay near the Shropshire hills

Was very good value for money, as a young couple it was very affordable and a lovely little getaway. The facilities were great and we were greeted very warmly which settled us straight away. It was thoroughly clean and no surprise payments which is always appreciated, the tea room and farm shop near by is a must do. Many thanks to the hosts, we will be back!

Tilly Lodge is stunning, we went to celebrate my partners birthday and he absolutely loved it. It exceeded expectations and we couldn’t fault our experience one bit!

Williams place is great! Perfect setting for a relaxed evening, comfortable & would 100% look to stay again in the future
