Ferienunterkünfte in Matinenda Lake

Paradise found!!! Wendy and Kenny run an amazing lodge. They are fantastic people who are truly dog friendly. I originally booked the Ladybug. Wendy reached out and offered the Loon's Nest as an alternative as it has a woodstove (and a great view of the lake). I jumped on the offer. I work outside all day, the heat from the stove was just what I, and my little dog, needed. Kenny offered to stock the stove midday so I was warm when I came home. There was no pressure to accept the service. They respect their guests privacy, but are always available if needed. The cabin is rustic but so very clean. The lodge office was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I've been to Disney World and felt my experience at Limberlost was on par (if not better) than Disney...if you've been to Disney, you'll know what I am talking about. I plan to return at my first opportunity!

everything was beyond expectations. fireplace was lit prior to arrival. kitchen had all the basics (salt,pepper, olive oil, coffee filters w/coffee maker & French press!, copper pots, ceramic pan, nice knives and cutting boards!)...I am already planning my next vacation days off to spend here

Very welcoming host. Space was comfortable and had everything we needed. The sauna was an awesome addition. View was beautiful. Very peaceful area. Other guests in the area but everyone is very peaceful and respectful. Will stay again!!! Bed was super comfortable!

Another great stay. Sue, Bob, Tim & Judy are fantastic hosts and the cottage is clean and comfortable with every detail taken care of. The property and lake are beautiful. Hope to be back for a 3rd time in the near future!

nice location and place

Beautiful place! Easy to get to and still maintains the "remote" feeling. Not far from amenities yet secluded enough to feel like you are getting away. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Will definitely be booking with them again in the near future. Next time, the only thing I will change is a longer visit. You need lots of time to fully enjoy everything this place has to offer. Thanks again for a great visit!

This little cabin was exactly what I needed - cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. While the weather was not great, the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Pamela has many good suggestions of things to do in the area as well. Thank you again, and I’m looking forward to visiting again in the future.

What a beautiful and amazing weekend we spent at Spruce cabin. Robin and her family made us feel right at home, complete with daily visits from their sweet dog! Robin’s property is absolutely beautiful, the rest and relaxation we felt was so necessary and exactly when you look for when getting out of Toronto for a trip up north. Robin shared lots of local hiking trails and scenic drives, and surprised us with some fresh cherry tomatoes from the community garden I got to enjoy with breakfast. This is a property that we can see ourselves visiting yearly, especially during the beautiful fall colours. Spruce was well lit, and warm in the evenings thanks to the heaters. The screened in porch was perfect for reading and taking in the lake view. The lake was calm, serene and they provided canoes, kayaks and SUPs (along with life jackets), that my husband enjoyed very much. If you see an open weekend here at Spruce ( or any cabin on the property) BOOK IT! Thank you again, Robin!
