We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

The perfect, most convenient place to stay on a visit to Stornoway. We’ll definitely be back!

well we'll what can I say about Sarah.. she is just a beautiful wonderful host inside and out. the place is so spacious very neat and clean.had everything what we needed. fridge and freezer full of food and the most important thing is we could use everything that was so kind of Sarah.she couldn't do enough for us. always checking if we were comfortable and needed anything. loved staying every minute of it. Will definitely come in summer again.just felt like home.thank you so much for everything Sarah. hope you have a wonderful time at NEW YEAR.all the best for 2025 !!

Absolutely ideal base for exploring Isle of Lewis (Harris also, if you don't mind an hour of scenic drive to get there). With parking, right outside of the main door, getting things in and out was super easy, which added to convenience. Super clean flat, feels freshly refurbished with all modern fittings, but also stylish. All of key utensils are in place too. So a nice, homely environment to relax in. Big supermarket (Tesco) is 5 min walk away. Just be mindful that most places close early on a Sunday, so if arriving on Sunday evening ferry, so make sure you have dinner en route or bring food with you. I didn't, but a local Chinese takeaway (10mins walk) saved the day! : ) Elizabete was super responsive and accommodating. Thank you. Certainly would be booking in here when coming back Stornoway next time.

Location was beautiful and peaceful. On days the weather was good we hiked and on days it rained we read our books by the windows that had amazing views and watched the rain come in across the bay. Could not recommend this place more for a complete escape. Adelaide was a very welcoming host, with lots of helpful information in advance.

The cottage was lovely, both modern, crisp and clean but immediately cosy, and welcoming. The area, is of course stunning. Being able to walk to the local shop, bar, restaurant is a big plus - as we didn't want to be so isolated we had to drive all the time. Going in early March meant that the roads and hills were extra quiet which was great! But we did find the craft shops and organised outdoor activities were often closed (until Easter). The pubs and restaurants however were open as usual and wonderful. Stephen was helpful, organised and although not there in person we never feel abandoned! He was very response to questions and anticipated ours before we asked them. Thank you

Diana’s place was perfect for our family holiday. The location is both tranquil and remote in the way we like but not far from interesting and beautiful places (Applecross, Torrodin, Plockton and Skye all less than an hour away). The house was comfy and looks right into loch Kishorn. It’s well equipped and there are great local amenities nearby in kishorn and loch carron. Milo (Diana’s partner) was a helpful and charming host and we would absolutely recommend this lovely house for a highland holiday.

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Debbie is the nicest host I've ever had experience with on this app. So incredibly friendly; she helped my sister organise a birthday gift to be delivered for my arrival! Island Views is a gorgeous place and we are really sad to leave. Hopefully we'll be back one day!

One of the best!! We absolutely loved staying here, the cottage was perfect and had everything we needed. Comfortable living space and a very well equipped kitchen! Jan was an amazing host, very responsive and helpful....we enjoyed a brillant Burns nignt supper at the local community centre as a result! Lots to do in the local area, we enjoyed some long hikes before Storm Eowyn hit!! We will be staying again!

Had a fantastic stay at this warm and cosy cottage in the quiet, beautiful coastal village of Stein, Skye. The hosts were excellent, providing great communication and thoughtful recommendations for places to visit. The complimentary wine and biscuits were a lovely touch, making us feel even more welcome. Check-in and access to the cottage were effortless, and throughout our trip exploring Skye, we were so pleased with our decision to stay here. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Margaret’s house from 23 December to 28 December. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The location was great and easy to get around the island. Views from the house were exceptional. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Location, location, location - that is why I choose this listing as my wife was joining me after a business trip to Scotland and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable and we had a nice place to stay. It wasn't inexpensive - this is probably the most we have ever paid - but I know my wife. Looking over the options in Portree, there was too much at risk choosing a B&B or hotel, I needed to be sure that the stay was excellent. And it was! The view was exceptional, the property clean and largely odor-free (it is next to a fish and chips shop, so the kitchen had a bit of an odor, but the bedrooms were odor-free!). I would stay here again, as noted, not inexpensive - but not many choices for AirBnb in Skye so this was by far the best choice in my opinion!

What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

It was fabulous: the appartement, the surroundings, the view from the apparentment window. Lita and Carol spoiled us with a stuffed fridge with all kinds of local scottish food to discouver. And if we had a question they responded immediately. The best place we’ve ever been.

We very much enjoyed our holiday in Sheena‘s cottage. It was perfectly equipped for our stay and the view is absolutely spectacular. We hope to return!

Absolutely loved my stay! Came for a weekend get-away to rest and reset. I left feeling refreshed! 10/10 it’s private and peaceful. If you open the window you can hear the waves from the Loch. Recommend to anyone who wants to explore Isle of Skye it’s a great location to get to most everything without being too far of a drive. Would definitely stay here again :)

A Truly Magical Stay on the Isle of Skye. This place is a perfect blend of the majestic and the deeply comforting—a haven where we felt both enchanted and completely at home. We highly recommend this gem! After long days of exploring the green, velvety hills of Isle of Skye, this Airbnb was the perfect home away from home to rest our travel-bones bones with a deep, luxurious bathtub that beckoned us to soak and the heated tile floors throughout. Diana even generously stocked the fridge with sourdough bread, eggs, and coffee. The highlight of our stay was the flowery gardens, babbling brooks, and exclusive access to a hidden beach bungalow. With two comfy beach chairs and a wood-burning furnace, it quickly became our favorite spot to enjoy breakfast and dinner in tranquility. Diana and Alan, were the epitome of hospitality, welcoming us with warmth and kindness, especially as an LGBTQIA+ couple, this meant the world to us. They are lovely. We are already dreaming of our return.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits où nous avons pu nous ressourcer avec la nature. Rosie nous avait tout prevu. L'essentiel pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner. Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen in der Nähe des Flughafens und in der Nähe einiger Shops. Die Unterkunft ist hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer und die Küche waren sehr sauber. Der Check-in war sehr unkompliziert und sehr sympatisch. Ich würde gerne wieder dort übernachten.
