Perfect cabin for a trip to Iceland! It was small but that's what we were expecting from the description, and the space was enough for our needs. The host was very quick to respond anytime we had a question. Would definitely recommend!

So often, air bnbs have failed to live up my hopes but this place does not disappoint. Perfectly located for us- just off a main route but still quiet and peaceful. It had everything we needed and we especially appreciated how warm and cosy it was after long days of exploring. We really couldn’t have asked for more!

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kleinkinder. An Platz mangelt es nicht und auch für die Kinder ist alles sicher und gemütlich. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns alles bereit gestellt was man zur Versorgung braucht, auch der Check-In verlief einwandfrei. Katrinn hat uns genau über die Lage und den Ablauf informiert, trotz nächlicher Ankunft war sie und Asta gut erreichbar. Wir sind Katrinn unglaublich dankbar und würden die Unterkunft, wie auch sie als Gastgeberin immer wieder weiter empfehlen!

Die Unterkunft war unser letzter Stopp bevor es nach Reykjavik ging. Toll ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Eignet sich auch perfekt als Basislager für Erkundungen in der Ecke, da Holmavik mit einem Supermarkt und einem Spirituosengeschäft leicht zu erreichen sind. Wir hatten sogar das Glück mit einem Glas Wein, im Whirlpool, noch die Nordlichter sehen zu können. Absolut zu empfehlen

It was incredible to have so much space on our trip. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook our own meals without issue. The hot tub was a great bonus! My only gripes were the tight bathroom, non functioning TV, and no ice cube tray (minor, I know). Overall would highly recommend!

Wonderful view and in a very calm surrounding. Beautiful sunset and a relaxing Hot Tub to relax after a long day of sight seeing!

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

lieu de séjour atypique mais très sympa 2 cabanes dont une est idéale pour les grands enfants jacuzzi facile d'utilisation la vue est superbe (sauf la lumière des serres de tomates) lieu calme et un vrai Airbnb qui sert à son propriétaire (rare)

Cabin was great. Clean, nice, well stocked. We enjoyed our stay. The only real improvement would be exterior lighting. There are no exterior lights, so it was hard to find after dark.

We had a magical stay at Sjornohall! The unique setting amongst the moss covered pseudo-craters feels like it’s from a movie and the views of the Northern Lights were breathtaking. The locations makes a great base for visiting Vik, as well as visiting the National Park with ice cave tours. Audur is thoughtful, kind, and very responsive. She even let my kids meet her chickens, horses, and dogs which was a highlight of our stay for them. The house had every amenity we could have needed, as well as many unique extra touches. We hope to return again some day!

Zum ersten mal dort gewesen und sind total glücklich. Eine wunderbare Ferienunterkunft und man fühlt sich gleich zu Hause. Die Ruhe dort ist erholsam und wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, es gibt viele Möglichkeiten etwas zu unternehmen. Die Kommunikation mit Sveinn ist super. Man kann sich auf ihn verlassen. Eine absolute Empfehlung

I have such happy memories of our time in Kristján’s cabin. It feels more like staying at a friend's place as there is such character throughout the home. It's ideal for 'hunkering down' amid stunning scenery. We loaded up on duty free wine and plenty of food at Bonus and spent our evenings cooking, chatting and playing games. There are plenty of cooking ingredients K is happy to share. The cabin is ideal for a digital detox and cutting yourself off from the world - although it also has excellent wi-fi. It's worth noting there aren't many restaurants locally - this is truly the wilderness. There are plenty of amazing things to see locally by car. Highlights include: Eiríksstaðir - Viking Longhouse - Sofie is an amazing storyteller and host Daytrip around Snæfellsjökull National Park Guðrúnarlaug Hot-tub Café Riis Hólmavík - Restaurant - Pizzeria & Bar & also Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft Kristján's cabin is a truly one-of-a-kind and memorable stay.

This was the most wonderful little cottage, I absolutely loved my stay. The view is beautiful and everything is so peaceful. I loved walking through the village and the ferry ride was relaxing and reliable. The cottage feels like home. I am so glad I stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer. Sitting in the hot tub at night you will get the best star show. I didn’t see aurora during my stay, but I bet that’s incredible. Bjorgvin sent very detailed and helpful directions and everything was easy.

Wij hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in het huis! Het was van alle gemakken voorzien. De keuken was erg compleet.

We had a wonderful time staying in Helga’s cottage. Extremely peaceful and secluded oasis - great to see northern lights and enjoy nature. Day trips to the Golden Circle and Vik were easy successible. Highly recommended!!!

We came to Iceland for Northern Lights. This is a rustic cabin on the farm perfect for seeing Northern Lights at night…at the comfort of the cabin. Sveinn is hospitable and a responsive communicator. The cabin is remote, away from city light pollution, but a few restaurants and a grocery store are about a 5 minute drive in this small town. For 3 consecutive nights, we saw Northern Lights on the back porch with wine, dessert and hot chocolate without having driving to somewhere else. It is cold and windy in south Iceland. But staying at this cabin, you can get inside to warm up…then go back outside to enjoy Northern Lights in the sky. Would return again.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Le logement est spacieux, très bien équipé. Divers jeux sont disponibles pour les enfants et des jeux de société sont également prévus. Le logement est propre et agréable. Une prise électrique est également disponible pour ceux qui ont un véhicule électrique. Enfin la vue est magnifique depuis le salon, une vue immense sur la baie.

Incredible location and incredible cabin. The cabin and the views are definitely worth the stay alone, on top of all the other nice amenities added on. It’s a must stay!

Una Cottage is a secret gem. I’m so glad me and my wife stayed here. After a long day exploring. It was nice to come back to a place that is nice, quiet, and private. It’s a perfect place to recharge. The cottage itself is beautiful. The decor was lovely, the interior smelled very good. Also, there are a lot of stores near by so you don’t have to drive far if you need something. We also love the horse and farm animals near by. Each morning when we start our day. We always say good morning to the horses near by. The horses always come to us to say hi, and we get to pet it. Lisbeth is an awesome host. She is very responsive, and also gave us a goodie bag . 😄We will definitely be back here when we return to Iceland.

The cabin, nestled in the fjords, is an amazing place to stay. The views will take your breath away. Giacomo and Francesca were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend.
