spotless. beds and sofas were comfortable. everything we needed. pleasant garden. quiet residential cul de sac (you can hardly hear the trains). beach was a short walk away. would make this our first choice when staying here again.

The Little Gate House was perfect for our family getaway. It had everything we could possibly need for our trip, including a cot, highchair, and bath for our little girl, so that helped make our packing a little lighter. There was a beautiful outdoor space but unfortunately it was raining, so we didnt get to use it. It was in a great location with Ruthin and Llangollen easy to get too. The surroundings were lovely and it was very tranquil. Kirsty was great. She recommended lots of things to do and also put up some birthday banners as it was my husband's birthday. Also, the hamper and welcome was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay at The Little Gate House again. Thank you very much!

We booked this as a family trip for three for Easter. We arrived and found the property easily by following the instructions sent. There is one car parking space provided which was a decent size, we have previously had issues with tiny air bnb spaces. Easy access as there is a key pad on the door. The property itself matches the pictures, is clean and has a well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfy so was the sofa for sitting watching tv. The only criticism I could make is that some of the ceilings are low for me at 6ft 2 so watch your head haha. The hosts were great and communicated well and the location is absolutely spot on, walking distance to bars and restaurants and a short drive to the zoo and Cheshire Oaks. Would highly recommended!

Beautiful place, was the perfect escape from the city for the weekend. Pip explained everything accurately and thoroughly and provided us with some logs for the fire which was great fun. The hut was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bath outside was perfect for a cold evening. Thanks Pip we had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage — it's a perfect base for visiting Chester Zoo and exploring the area. The place was exactly as described: clean, tidy, and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a short stay. The host was responsive and helpful, and check-in was a breeze. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and how well-kept the cottage was. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Chester or the zoo. We’d happily stay again — thank you for a lovely experience!

We stayed at Luke's house for 3 nights. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The welcome pack of milk bread, orange juice tea and coffee was an unexpected treat and very welcome after our long drive. It was positioned perfectly in the middle of the 2 sections of the Wales Coastal Path we had planned to cycle. I would definitely recommend to others x

We had a lovely stay that was so peaceful but also allowed us to enjoy time with our daughter, her partner and our grandson. Beautiful surroundings that felt like being in the countryside without being isolated. The space in the chalet was plenty for the four-plus-one of us, airy and expansive. It was easy to keep a fifteen month old boy, who is just getting mobile, safe and entertained. We were blessed with the Spring weather but even if it had been poor I think we'd have not felt claustrophobic and there was a cupboard with some board games to entertain. We would recommend Kay's for a countryside break away and with half hour access to nearby towns (Kelsall village is walkable), Chester Zoo and North Wales on the doorstep there was plenty to visit. Loved it!

We had an incredible couple of days at The Bothy. It was so peaceful in an amazing location - sharing the space with just the cows, sheep and stars at night. Great walkable pub with takeaway fish and chips on Friday (thanks for the tip Thomas!). We truly relaxed and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Calm, quiet and beautiful sunsets.

So chuffed we found this place! As a group of 7 girls we had plenty of room, great location for nearby walks and easy access to eat/drink out. The novelty of the animals around the house was really fun and the house itself was lovely. Very comfy, had everything we needed and the luxury of the hot tub was an added plus. Julia was really great with all the information prior to arrival and the gentleman who look after the animals were super friendly. Would love to go back and would highly recommend.
