Cozy place to stay , great for a couples weekend in Yosemite or just a time with friends !

Mary's cottage was the perfect retreat for two friends reconnecting after years without seeing each other. It has a rustic forest feel but was also super clean and comfy. An easy drive into Guerneville (probably walkable in summer, though you would be walking on a main road/highway) and just minutes from Armstrong Redwoods, plus it's not far from many other cute little towns and wineries throughout the area. From the photos, we thought there would be more space outside to sit among the trees and feel like we were in the forest, but it is on a small road with houses close by, so not as "forested" as the photos make it appear. Still, you are surrounded by redwoods, and there's the hot tub, two very comfortable bedrooms (one with its own small bathroom), and a very comfy couch with a great TV. (Did I use the word "comfy" several times? Well, you get the point.) Mary is a wonderful host and super responsive, too.

Thanks to Janet and Dave for making the King Cabin a super base station for visiting Sequoia NP! The cabin is cozy, feels just like home, and has a covered parking space. The outdoor setup is very nice (covered sitting area, hot tub, BBQ). We had a great stay and enjoyed reading the cabin's many excellent travel books. We'd love to visit again to see the National Parks again in the Fall.

This spot was perfect for our little family of three. Half way between Yosemite's South Gate and the surprisingly well-equipped town of Oakhurst, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would book this place again. Check-in was a breeze, and the host was very responsive when asked a question or two during the visit. The wood-burning stove and the hot tub were a bonus for tired legs after long hikes, and a cozy atmosphere and opportunity to warm up during nightly movies while relaxing. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a non-hotel option that's very private and slightly off the beaten path.

Even at five stars, this place is underrated! Great base camp for yosemite adventures. The hot tub nestled under the pines is like a dream--we can't wait to come back and will definitely seek this cabin in the pines out for another stay!

Kyong airbnb was a perfect get away near yosemite. it was clean and cozy. The Jacuzzi was a nice addition to the place after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. Thank you for hosting us.

Natalie and Jon’s cabin is lovely. The location is very peaceful and quiet with the sound of birds and the river in the background. Natalie provided clear instructions for the cabin along with local recommendations for hiking and eating out. We had an issue with the heater and they were very responsive and fixed the problem quickly. The hot tub is a bonus after a day of hiking. Yosemite is a little over an hour away so day trips into the park are easily possible. The cabin was spotless on our arrival. I highly recommend this rental.

This was my first trip with my girlfriend and our dog, and definitely not our last in this cabin! The area is peaceful, the home was super clean, and the fenced area for our dog was really helpful. Our dog really loved the space being able to roam freely inside and outside of the cabin. Loved the gated doors if you want to just hangout in the porch area with your pet or let them loose. The cabin was equipped with everything from all types of kitchen ware to warm blankets. The distance to Yosemite Falls was only about an hour drive. Loved seeing the wildlife around the cabin such as families of deer. This cabin definitely felt cozy and comfortable. The washer and dryer came in handy as well when returning from hikes so traveling light with clothes is ideal when staying here. At no point did we feel unsafe especially at night. Communication with Steve was very informational and rapid. Had the best experience overall and looking forward to booking our next stay here again!

My family and I wanted a peaceful Christmas in a quiet and beautiful setting and this hit the mark completely. We saw very few people and had a spectacular time cooking, relaxing, and marveling at nature. We all slept incredibly well as the mattresses were just right for us. We all commented how comfortable the beds were. Very enjoyable stay.

Samantha was a wonderful host and check in was super easy. The cabin was definitely more rustic than what we are use to. The stairs going to the loft gave me a bit of anxiety. Our 5 year old did manage it well hah. I was pretty cool to feel transported to a different time. The location was great. If you decide to chill in the front yard, you are on display for all to see. We had a good time.

Ham’s is our favorite place to stay near Kirkwood!

We were very pleased with our stay here. The hosts were very responsive and checked in on us. The backyard is huge and we enjoyed building snowmen there . It was a quick 13 min drive to the Heavenly slopes, super easy to get there.

Our family of four had a great two days at the cabin. The cabin was very tastefully furnished and felt like home. It was cozy and all the amenities one could expect including a family room with games and books. The house was squeaky clean and the fireplace was a great touch. The surroundings were quiet and very private. We skied at Dodge Ridge which was 20 min away. Overall a memorable weekend for our family and we plan to visit again this summer.

This was such an incredible stay. We went for a quiet retreat with mix of recreation, and Johnny's place worked perfectly. The house itself is perfect for a couple, snuggly couch and comfy bed/linens. Having the Washer/Dryer after going out for a day of hiking and swimming was perfect. The host provided everything we could think of and more in the kitchen and throughout the home. The place is close to the main road so it's easy to get to Lake Isabella and the little town nearby. There was an enclosed backyard for our dog to play in, too! There's a friendly dog that guards the neighborhood that came to greet us one morning, he was very sweet and independent, and got along with our dog great. The decor was on theme and minimal, just perfect. Overall a 10/10 stay, we were so happy and relaxed our whole time there.

This is a real cabin, exactly as described. It was a pleasure to stay here, highly recommended. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat that has everything you need and nothing you don’t, look no further. I felt right at home; this reminded me of a small hunting cabin or bunkhouse that one might find on a ranch. Muriel was very accommodating and the environment is very peaceful.

Very cute little cabin! If visiting in the winter, be prepared to use all of the space heaters in the place.

This was the perfect family friendly place! We made s'mores, went to the swimming hole, the kids made up and performed their song on the stage, walked to natural spring for delicious drinking water, played ping pong and horseshoe, and the kids played on the playground. The general store had necessities and ice cream and everyone was incredibly nice. We felt like we were at our very own summer camp! This hundred year old camp felt so nostalgic, it even had a memorial for a couple who met at summer camp in the 30s and were married. It was also really nice to bring our dogs. Sheets, blankets, and towels were fresh and clean and it had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The only complaint I have is that the mattresses were a little squeaky but we got used to it after the first night. Thank you for the memories.

Cozy Cottage for Couples! Loved the peaceful vibes and positive energy. Phil greeted and welcomed us with a lovely tour of the grounds. Lisa was super responsive and helpful with recommendations. Oakhurst is a charming town and perfectly situated near Yosemite, Sierra Natl Forest, Bass Lake, and so much more - yet it feels pleasantly secluded, and you can't beat the starry nights seen from the property. The BBQ at Smokehouse41 was great, the Mariposa Coffee Roaster should not be missed - say howdy to "Gerry," Judy's donuts were yum, and the Thrift /Antique stores are full of treasures...enjoy the outdoors, majestic nature, and the nearby towns are full of quirky businesses and historical structures and sites. Thank you so much for a comfy bed, a restful retreat, and a beautiful stay. Peace. :)

We all really appreciated staying at this beautiful cabin surrounded by amazing views just steps away. I cooked the entire time except for a quick lunch at the local diner which was great! Everyone has been friendly nearby & the host was very accessible. Highly recommend if you want to explore this part of California which really is stunning.

Our stay in Lisa’s School House was everything we wanted—working farm, serene, bucolic views, sweet and cozy cottage. It’s close to Tomales, Dillon Beach and Pt. Reyes, plenty to do and see, and eat! Their French products were great as well. Best of all was a host who went out of her way to accommodate a request. Thank you, Lisa!!! And Katie as well!! We will be back soon!

we loved the stay. John has a beautiful place. Perfect for a couple, very cozy, comfortable cabin. John is really helpful. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful.

10/10 experience. The cabin was spacious yet cozy and we loved the environmental thoughtfulness that went into the cabin and the camp as a whole. We met one of the owners who was very friendly and prompt with messages. The stargazing area was beautiful and our only regret was not staying longer to explore and enjoy other areas of the camp. We hope to be back again i. The future!
